The Big Day is approaching fast, and, yes, we are talking about Christmas! We’re excited to announce that Box opening will be enabled this coming Christmas weekend. The exact time is still to be determined. Read on to find out exactly what you need to know.
First point to note is that the price of Boxes in the Store will increase in the coming days as we restock Boxes and bundles. The Grand Opening Sale prices will be gone forever, so you may wish to consider a last minute shopping spree!
Boxes will be opened via the ‘My NFT’ section of the VIMworld site. We’ve designed our UI to ensure the process is nice and intuitive. Be sure to have some BNB in your wallet to cover gas fees when opening your boxes!
Why do I need to pay gas fees, you ask? Each and every EGG hatched will be minted as an individual ERC-721 NFT, complete with their own EGG numbers and edition numbers. This means that the first person to unbox, e.g. a ‘Muna’ EGG, will get edition #1- just like VIMs. As such, you probably won’t want to waste time opening your Boxes once the facility goes live!
There are six different tiers of EGGs (Common, Fine, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Godly), which have different Companion hatching probabilities; you’ll find more about these in new pages that will shortly be added to the VIMstudy. Each Box type has a different set of possible EGG outcomes, but each EGG minted via the opening of a Box is an independent event. No one knows which EGG will come next!
Companions are a diverse collection of EGG-borne NFTs that integrate with SmartNFTs to enhance them in various ways. More information about Incubators and Companions will be released soon. Incubator NFTs are needed in conjunction with VIMs to hatch EGGs into Companions. After hatching, you’ll be able to keep or trade your ERC-721 EGG tokens, and they’ll show an image reflecting their hatched state.
Preceding the launch of the ‘VIMworld 2.3’ site there will be a 2-hour maintenance period. We will communicate the exact timing of this period of the launch as soon as we have a final confirmation.
EGGs can be sent between wallets right away, but will only be made tradeable on the Marketplace following a later VIMworld site update. This will be delivered on a short timeframe, i.e. #soon.
