VIMworld 2022 — A Year in Review and A Sneak Peek of What’s to Come

Dearest VIMworld community! With so much having taken place this year and lots of changes going on in the fair lands of VIMworld, we thought it an opportune to take stock of our journey thus far in 2022 as well as share some insights into the near-term roadmap ahead!
We sure you’re as curious as we are excited to share, so let’s hop straight in!
VIMworld Through 2022 — Building the Ultimate NFT Utility Platform
Q1 — Starting Strong
It’s amazing what can be achieved in less than a year. We kicked off the first quarter of 2022 with the launch of our utility-packed Partnership edition VIM, Hacky, a direct collaboration with cybersecurity expert platform, Hacken.
In addition, we celebrated Chinese New Year with the launch of the Taizi VIMdispenser event and shared exciting plans to launch our multi-chain crypto and NFT wallet, Nufinetes, kicking off a new multi-phased approach to VIMworld and its associated technologies.
Q2 — A Productive Quarter
During the second quarter of the year, we saw another Partnership Edition VIM arriving in VIMworld — Venix. This phoenix-themed VIM was released in partnership with decentralized exchange builders, Vexchange, and came with a liquidity mining bonus for Vexchange users and holders of the VIM.
We also issued our first community artist challenge with the VIMworld Kingsday Community contest, a global challenge to create a VIM series in celebration of ‘King’s Day’, a Dutch national holiday.
We received many brilliant entries from our talented community. Ultimately, the event was won by the artist behind Arthur, details of whom can be found here.
Last but most definitely not least, our Nufinetes wallet v1 was released — an incredibly important step towards our grander goals.
Q3 — Gathering Pace
The third quarter of the year was a busy one for us — for starters, we added new blockchain compatibility and NFT functionality directly within the Nufinetes wallet app, expanding its usability to an even wider user base across large blockchains (BNB Chain and Ethereum).
We also shared a significant milestone in our development roadmap by announcing VIMworld’s migration to the BNB Smart Chain. With that, came the outline of our exciting plans for an expansive NFT-Utility Platform in the form of our VIMworld Vision Video — be sure to check it out if you haven’t seen it!
To kick-start the migration process, we listed VEED on SafeSwap, an Atomic Swap platform built by blockchain-based custodian platform, Safe Haven, allowing users to begin migrating their VEED to BSC. You can also use the White Glove Service to transfer VEED to BSC- with no lower limits for Nufinetes users.
We launched vechain.vimworld.com, a devoted VeChainThor migration platform and oversaw the go-live of vimworld.com on BSC, VIMworld’s new native home.

Of course, no key milestone would be complete without rewarding the ever-faithful and diamond hands in our community. We launched a special community event for S-tier and above VIMs in ‘The Devout Champions of VIMworld’ Blessings event!
Q4 — The Story so Far
This period saw the migration deadline pass and with it came the subsequent closure of the dedicated migration function on vechain.vimworld.com. All VIMs left behind are now forever bound to VeChainThor, but still freely movable on the network.
Only VIMs successfully migrated to the BNB Chain can take part in VIMworld activities and events moving forward. Your favourite VIM just got even rarer!
We were super excited to launch the VIMworld portal, a means for BSC projects (initially) and eventually projects from other blockchain networks to transform their creations into SmartNFTs and benefit from our extensive and exciting plans for the future of our platform! So far we’ve ‘Smartified’ 15 collections of BSC-based NFTs. The new look VIMworld Arcade with 6 different dispenser machines was unveiled, and 5 new VIMs made their debuts in the launch event!
A Look Ahead

In December, we look forward to unveiling more ‘Smartified’ collections, including additional partnerships we’ve managed to secure and bring through the Portal. Stay tuned to our socials to keep updated!
Our most ardent and devoted VIM holders, the SX-tiers, will receive a very special new VIM to recognise and thank them for their unwavering commitment to our vision and goals! At VIMworld we’re always looking to reward our most engaged community members.
In addition, a major feature release will drop this December — VIMboxes! More details to come on those and their functionality within the VIMworld ecosystem. VIMboxes are the first step towards the addition of the long-awaited Companions and EGGs features.
January 2023 — New Year New VIMworld
As we start the new year, we’ll be launching new functions on the platform. Your previously acquired VIMboxes will take on new functionality and gain the ability to be opened to unveil the goodies within — EGGs! EGGs, or, Electronically Gifted Goodies, will deliver a slew of new possibilities for VIMworld and its upcoming games, DeFi platforms and more. To hatch your EGGs, you’ll need another new VIMworld NFT item- the Incubator.
Other tech updates include design changes for the VIMworld Marketplace to better display third party VIMs and the new items in the mix, as well as further quality of life improvements.

We’ll be launching the new secondary token system with a full introduction and break-down of how this new token will play into the ecosystem. Exciting times, VIMfam, exciting times.
Companions will roll out- the multi-functional friends you’ll gain taking good care of those EGGs!
In addition, and to great fanfare, we’ll be launching the VIMworld DeFi platform. You’re gonna love this one for sure.
