This time ‘round, it’s the turn of well-known Aussie, Ludo! His charisma and charm need no introduction — he has always been a vibrant and positive member of the VIMworld community. So let’s meet Ludo, our community member from down under!
Hi! Please introduce yourself and tell us a fun fact!
Hi hello all my name is Ludo I am a proud father of two energetic twin boys, husband, fire-fighter, army veteran and enthusiast of rugby, CrossFit and of course VIMworld.
When did you first discover VIMworld and what caught your attention about it?
I first discovered VIMworld late 2020, it caught my attention as I was a long-term follower of VeChain, so I was curious as VIMworld was the first NFT metaverse released that ran on VeChain.
Who is your favorite VIM and why is that so?
Ghostbeard is my favourite VIM for a number of reasons. Besides the cool artwork and lore, to me personally Ghostbeard represents a journey of perseverance in order to obtain something seemingly impossible. When I first joined VIMworld with 1 low tier VIM I had never imagined obtaining the rarest VIM of all but through perseverance, loyalty, luck and seizing the opportunity I managed to score the rarest, most infamous and most popular VIM of all time.
What are you most looking forward to on VIMworld’s roadmap and what excites you about it?
I am most looking forward to a large growth in user adoption which I assess will be driven by a combination of releasing crosschain capability, mobile game, software development kit, physical vims, major partnerships and many added features. There are many reasons I am excited about a large growth in user adoption but certainly making a decent profit is one of them.
Where was the funniest/most memorable place you fed your VIMs?
I fed my VIMs on a houseboat floating in Corroboree billabong, Australia. It’s home to the largest concentration of saltwater crocodiles in the world. It was quite surreal at night feeding digital monsters (VIMs) whilst being eyed off by thousands of real-life monsters.
How did the conversation about ‘that NFT stuff’ go over your most recent family/friend get together?
It’s always good for a laugh talking about NFT stuff with friends and family. Some get it, some don’t want to get it and some are keen to learn. I don’t like to talk about “NFT stuff” unless someone is genuinely interested, which was no one at first, but alot of people now.
What’s the best deal you got from a VIM trade?
I can’t remember the exact figure but I scored a Ghostbeard for a considerable discount just as VIMworld 1.0 was on its way out and VIMworld 2.0 was about to be released.
Which VIM would you like to be real-life friends with, and what do you think they would be like?
Maybe not long-term friends but I would certainly enjoy a night out with Bone Maiden. Once an attractive woman in life and an even more beautiful demon after death she is armed with a brilliant mind, unyielding beauty and a fire-breathing pet. There’s really nothing not to like about her, a really cool VIM.
Do you collect any specific type of VIM or any specific numbers and why?
I try my best to collect just 1 of every VIM that gets released with a preference to low mint numbers. I remember collecting basketball cards as a kid and doing alot of trading in an attempt to complete a certain set, but I never got there. I think with VIMworld I can get there and have a complete collection.
